I wonder why people keep disturbing the presidency over something as trivial as the boko haram escapades. I know there is a lot of work to be done.
There is a saying that Nero fiddles while Rome burns. It simply means attending to insignificant things while important ones are kept waiting.
This presidency has made us proud, hasn’t it?
It has committed a lot of petronaira to the centenary celebrations. What else do Nigerians want?
It has even gone out of its way to recognise the queen of England, Lord Lugard and Ms Flora Shaw among others for putting us in this contraption. Are Nigerians not easy to please?
Nigerians will even have an opportunity to take part in a centenary lottery. I mean those who have not been sent to their early graves by the boko haram.
By the way, did you know boko haram was a good way of controlling our population? If not, THIS presidency would have been serious about the security situation most especially as regards the boko haram onslaughts.
At this critical stage, I don’t think it will be too much to move the Nigerian presidency to north eastern Nigeria.
But then, that will be after we celebrate colonialism which is a polite word for slavery!
Meanwhile, I identify with those who have lost members of their families, friends and colleagues to the boko haram. I sympathise with Nigerians at large because we do not know where these murderers will strike next.
