Is That All? – Adewale Sobowale

So, you are downcast because you think all hopes are lost.

What is that situation that’s bugging you? You don’t have a job? You are waiting on God for fruit of the womb? You don’t have a connection to win that life changing contract?

OK, but did you know there are people who are fighting tooth and nail for your position in life?

Did you ask, what position?

I mean that position that you’re fed up with.

You are alive, you are healthy, your brain is working. To cap it all, you’re filled with ideas.

Could you pay a visit to the hospital? It is not the wish of the patients to be bedridden, but there they are.

Some of them may not even qualify to go home. Instead, they will be harvested by the grim reaper.

No, I made a mistake, they will go home in caskets!

Have you ever had some cause to visit the prisons? I’m not doubting the fact that most of the inmates are hardened criminals. But if we really consider it, did our society not contribute copiously in their becoming jailbirds?

Some are in the cemeteries. There you’ll see brilliant ideas buried. That’s why the wise say the cemetery is the richest place.

Why am I saying all these? It is to show you that you’re nothing but an ingrate. Don’t just sit down with your arms folded.

Praise your Creator. I don’t want to know your religion. All I’m concerned about is praising the Supreme Being.

By this, you’ll disgrace your traducers. In fact, they’d be shocked. They expected you to be brooding over your seeming misfortune.

But in turning your misfortune into praises, you would have played a fast one on them.

What’s happening to you is normal in a lifetime. If you don’t have challenges, achievements would hardly be useful.

I want you to see the ability in every disability.
