I just felt I should apologize to Mr Muhammad Buhari that I made a grave mistake of describing him, in a recent post, that he’s not a patriot.
That’s not true!
The fact remains that he’s neither a patriot of the Nigerian state nor of the Hausa nation.
He’s obviously a Fulani patriot!
In virtually all his actions, he has succeeded in showing his fervent love for his tribe.
Coming to Sowore, for reasons I’ve explained in the past, I’m not fascinated by his politics.
No, not in any way!
I’m particularly surprised that this government that’s looking for scapegoats of its useless economic policy, totally unaccountable security policy and its non-existent education policy is so late in catching its perceived enemies and locking them away in goal.
We all know how it was the Babangida coup that saved the terrible government of Buhari from a shipwreck.
The government had nothing to offer.
This government was welcome with gusto by people who chose to overlook the arrowhead’s malgovernance and crude injustice as head of state in 1984. If this had been a decent govern ment, it would have looked into the shocking reduction in the number of voters who voted APC in 2019 as against 2015.
In fact, Sowore has only succeeded in airing the views of most people. Most people who had given their unalloyed support to this government at inception are now seeking for a change in leadership.
If this government has no better way of giving Nigerians the good things of life, it should not be trying to save its face with one hand.
Meanwhile, other prominent people who are seen by this government as members of the opposition would be doing themselves a world of good by getting themselves ready for repression by this government.
A leopard, they say, can never change its skin!
