Wicked World! – Adewale Sobowale

When I think of the world, I just can’t help shuddering in helplessness.

That’s why when I talk of the inevitable end, death, I always say it’s those who are lucky that die naturally.

Look at the deaths that have been occurring in recent weeks. The killings in a supermarket, in Buffalo New York and 10 days later an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.

People were killed in a church in Laguna Woods California and in another church in Iowa.

Yesterday, a guy was killed for an alleged blasphemous statement in Abuja. Nigeria is yet to recover from from the slaying of Deborah Samuel for the the same alleged “offense”.

Reports I’m getting from Owo in Ondo state has confirmed killings in a church there.

In Africa, it’s our prayer that we should live long. It’s also a common prayer that may we not cause human deaths.

It’s however apparent that there are deranged people among us. They just can’t help causing tears and sorrows by killing people.

I refuse to believe these people are fighting for any useful cause. They are terrorists and must be treated as such when caught.

Meanwhile, my heart is with those who have lost their dear ones to the acts perpetrated by these messengers of the devil. May God comfort them!
