I noticed one sometime last week. Since then, several have appeared on my street. When I was a kid, we normally saw them at St Jude’s Church and St Paul’s first.
Christmas lightings!
It’s a reminder that the year is coming to an end. Well, while the year has had to bow to COVID 19, and many would say not much has been achieved, at the same time, it has been a harbinger of good fortune for some.
Ok, will the sellers of masks and sanitizers have anything to complain about? Will the new sheriff in town that defeated the White House lip, Joe Biden, have anything to complain about?
Indeed, those Nigerian government officials who hid away palliatives in warehouses wouldn’t have had anything to complain about if not for the agile youths who ‘liberated’ what belonged to the people.
I pray that in spite of all that has happened this year and that is still happening, all of us will celebrate not only this Christmas but many more if it’s not yet Apocalypse and the Lord delays His coming!
