Is it not ridiculous that we could sum up the Ekiti election as a battle
of bags. Yes, I mean bags of rice!
Is it not an evidence that our people are hungry? No matter the
kilometres of expressway you construct, no matter the number of
skyscrapers you build, if you fail to put food on the common man’s
dining table, then, I am sorry you have failed.
I really do not care which party wins the Ekiti election. Why should I
care? The mere fact that aggrieved members of the two major parties find it easy to dump ship for either party is suspicious. May be they are laughing at our
gullibility.
More seriously, I think our governments should be thinking
about a social welfare system.
The usual reply to this request is that there is no data base in this
country. Well, we just have to start from somewhere.
Without trying to be an alarmist, I know that time is running out on us.
