Having perused the letter, I didn’t see anything Dr Olusegun Obasanjo wrote that’s new to Nigerians.
The only thing that is rather new is his belief that government belongs to the people,
‘We need unity of purpose and nationally accepted strategic roadmap that will not change with whims and caprices of any government. It must be owned by the citizens, people’s policy and strategy implemented by the government no matter its color and political leaning.’
He had said it on several occasions that he’s not a populist. If he’s a new convert, he’s welcome to the fold.
However, the people must show their preferences for good governance through their votes and body language!
A people, truly, deserves its leadership!!
