Mother’s Day! – Adewale Sobowale

I’ve always said everyday should be called Mother’s Day!

This may be due to the fact that I enjoyed the (grand)Motherhood of a trio of mamis. While I can’t deny the fact that they spoilt me silly, they were also strict when it came to wrong doings.

But that’s a story for another day!

I’m more concerned about the unsung women who touched my life at various times. I’m referring to the female teachers and non-teaching staff of the schools I attended.

The non-teaching staff particularly!

I remember them for their care and good deeds.

I also believe more women should be encouraged to participate in our political space. I wouldn’t encourage allocation of a percentage or whatever for women. They should earn the positions.

I wish every true mother a wonderful mother’s day!
