Who Is Afraid? – Prof. Moyo Okediji

I just delivered a keynote lecture at the Federal University Lokoja titled “Who is Afraid of Ifa Tuntun?: The Orunmila–Osun Matrix.”

This lecture marks exactly one year since some Babalawo and Iyanifa consortiums publicly dismissed the idea of Ifa Tuntun—without ever giving space for a proper presentation or understanding of what it actually is.

Rather than argue, I chose to continue the research.

Ifa Tuntun is not a rebellion—it is an expansion.
It moves beyond the limits of defining Ifa solely as a divination system locked within 256 codes.

Today, I demonstrated—through science, mathematics, and computation—that the Ifa system holds an infinite body of codes, far beyond the 256 traditionally used.

What many believe to be the “end” is only the beginning.

Ifa Tuntun is not a religion.
It is not a replacement for traditional Ifa.
It is a quest for freedom, knowledge, and intellectual independence.

Where some insist on mystery, restriction, and non-rationality, Ifa Tuntun reveals Ifa as a spiritual technology—one that aligns with mathematics, digital knowledge systems, and the evolution of consciousness.

Just as modern computers operate with 256 bits, Ifa Tuntun shows pathways beyond that limit—into new forms of science, computation, and digital initiation.

So the question remains:

Why are some so afraid of unlocking what Ifa has always held—limitless wisdom?

Is the fear truly about preservation, or about losing control over the narrative?

Ifa was never meant to be trapped in a box.
It was—and is—a portal.
