No Balls! – Adewale Sobowale

That the staff quarter of Nigeria’s diplomatic staff was demolished in Ghana is no longer news. To add insult to injury, it was done in broad daylight (10.30 am).

The Ghanaian government has ‘explained’ that the demolition was carried out by ‘unknown persons’. Please recall that when the revolutionary musician, Fela Kuti’s faced military terrorism in 1977, the federal government declared that the destruction of people and property was caused by ‘unknown soldiers’.

Until otherwise proved, I believe the Ghanaian government must be in the know.

Two major reasons are responsible for my conclusion. First is the time the criminal act took place. Second is the fact that for some strange reasons, Ghanaians have never been comfortable with Nigerians.

But the Nigerian government which is oppressing its own citizens at home will, of course, have to set up a committee to look into the issue. The committee might take six months to conclude its sitting. They will then give the reports to government.

The government will then study the reports for another six months.

I thought there was a Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties.

This government may not act because it lacks balls!
