That Nigeria has a lot of potentials is no news. This includes manpower, wide expanse of arable land, a lot of mineral resources which includes the black gold, amongst other things.
But the question is, when will Nigeria turn her potentials into reality? This question is germane because a nation of more than two hundred million people can’t just go on like this.
Although there are many churches in Nigeria – in fact the country can definitely be said to be overchurched, the nation is kneeling, not in prayers, but in looking for the crumbs from the over filled tables of the few who are holding us hostage and milking our economy dry.
I had an opportunity to speak with about eight people in Nigeria last week. The cry was the same.
‘Country har o!’
But I just think if we could do the right thing, at the right time too, Nigeria could return to where it belongs. The nation could regain its pride of place amongst the comity of well-ruled nations
But then, are we ready? To pretend it’s easy to free ourselves from the clutches of these vultures, would be a great lie. At the same time it is easy if we have a resolution to do it.
Owo eni la fi n tun ‘wa ara eni se!
Take the money from whoever, it’s not their personal money anyway. In most cases, it’s money stolen from our commonwealth.
Then go in there and do the needful in voting in that candidate you believe could make Nigeria stand and start again.
Good luck!
