Sam Omatseye is a so–called journalist. I say so–called because he is an example of a journalist I wouldn’t advise people to be like.
There’s no doubt about the fact that he’s educated. But there’s a big doubt about his positive use of the education.
To me, he’s no more than a low class beggar. Even the beggars in Aminata Sow Fall’s “The Beggar’s Strike” are more principled than he is.
He is a typical example of “His Master’s Voice”. For him, any idiot that pays him will earn a hagiography. He would praise him even against reason.
I think he’s so money conscious that when the alert of the naira sounds, he tends to forget all the sins of his master.
According to someone, he’s a KM!
He’s a dangerous man because he tends to sing the praises of his master. He can never criticize him.
But others are not so lucky. He tears them into shreds.
I wouldn’t know who’s issuing him death threats. As far as I’m concerned, in terms of his profession, he’s not alive to the truth.
I believe he should be helping the police to search for those who are threatening to kill him.
His calling out Peter Obi about the so–called death threats might be another propaganda!
