I hardly have any good thing to say to those who, because of whatever problems, chicken out and withdraw to their pitiable hovels!
In the first instance, I am a person who’ll rather take a bullet with the chest while facing the battle rather than at the back while running away. Those who know will interpret that as an Onikoyi.
The ever wise Yoruba have an appropriate saying and that is, ‘T’egun ba nle ni, ka ma ro’ju. Bo se nre ara aye lo nre ero orun’.
It simply means with fortitude, which is not as simple as it sounds, one will surely overcome a lot of problems.
I also believe that nature has made problems because of man. I don’t know of any other animal that has problems.
At least not the type of problems faced by man, most of which, more often than not, are self inflicted.
My friend, just hold on to whatever you believe in, as long as you are Godly, things will be alright. Make no mistake about it, being Godly does not necessarily mean being a Christian or a Moslem.
There are some problems that overcoming them gives meaning to one’s life. However, if you run away from those problems, how can you achieve your sole purpose of coming to the world?
There are situations in which you feel everyone is against you. Let’s even assume so. Have you tried your Creator?
He caused you to come into this world to make impacts. And, where and when others fail, God doesn’t!
We have learnt that God is always there. He’s omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. If we fail to approach Him, of course He’ll feel we’re comfortable with our situations in life.
But when we do approach Him, He’ll show us that He’s more than able!
