Why is it that doing good deeds is the exception rather than the rule for our so-called leaders in Nigeria?
I understand the Lagos state government is busy effectively reversing its excellent performance in the COVID 19 scourge by rendering some residents of the state homeless.
I don’t think it’s possible for houses to be pulled down while maintaining social distance. In any case, no matter the length of the notice served the supposedly illegal occupants, in this case two weeks, I believe it’s the highest level of meanness for any government to involve itself in such demolitions at this particular time. In fact, it’s scandalous.
By the way, are workers in the demolition gang not supposed to be at home?
The government should resettle those rendered homeless immediately while maintaining the status quo!
