Society creates a variety of people. There are some who resign themselves to faith even when they do know they are better than the rulers. To criticize such leadership is a taboo for them.
But there is always a minority that’s sincerely repulsed by crass in high places. As far as this particular group is concerned, the leaders have no business being in government if they can’t perform.
And, perform well!
This particular group could be referred to as the practitioners of BAAWIISM!
Don’t bother to consult your dictionary to check out the meaning of baawiism!
It simply means, baa wi ao ku, baa si wi, orun la nlo!
That is, if we talk, we’ll die, even if we don’t, we’ll surely die.
Why don’t we say the truth?
The world will surely be better if more people can say nothing but the blunt truth.
That’s where people like revolutionaries come in. In most cases, they prefer dying rather than not saying the truth..
So many revolutionaries would have been your everyday guys if society allows it.
But then, people who have nothing to show are made leaders by the people. Some even shoot their ways into power.
Nigeria has had Its fair share of revolutionaries. Unfortunately, the society is yet to undergo a significant change.
