I don’t have any apology for not supporting any European football club. I believe if we could put our acts together we could always have a much better league. In any case, quite a number of the players there are from here anf elsewhere in Africa.
It has reached a stage where supporters of opposing teams actually stab each other because they can not see eye to eye.
What about the betting that takes place? Many poor fellows further impoverish their households through football betting.
I once heard a rumour that some of our politicians were in the practice of using government to go and watch European soccer. Well, how I wish it should remain a rumour. I wish so because it is not good enough for a public officer to use even his personal money for such.
Apart from the shame of not being able to organise our sports, are wr not making Europe more prosperous? Supporters of clubs want to be identified with their clubs. They therefore invest in the clubs’ souvenirs.
However, some of us are still waiting for a modern reincarnation of Stationery Stores, NEPA,Concord,NPA,Shooting Stars,Rangers,Pillars,etc
