Celebrating the unknown! – Adewale Sobowale

I hear Lagos State is burying 103 “unknown” dead people with N61,285,000.

I think this is a very good step. At least, if a person can’t enjoy on earth, they should enjoy their passage to the ultimate. Note that I never mentioned heaven or hell.

It’s now good to die in Lagos, isn’t it?

I guess there will be a wake at which refreshments shall be served. Before the burial, there will be a church or mosque or even a Traditional service. For those who are atheists, maybe the government will find a way of doing the needful.

The coffins will be imported. I learn the undertaker is the “Julius Berger” of Nigerian undertakers. There will be graves for the unknown corpses.

After the interment, there should be a reception and musicians will play and sing praises of the dead. People (ghosts) will spray money. People will eat and even have some food to take away.

Is it, not a good thing to die in Lagos?

But, the person should die as an unknown and be picked up by some government official!
