Since the Nigerian Senate has decided to be an unusual servant of the executive, how can it convince people that the hate speech bill is not explicitly designed for Sowore and others?
According to the Senate president, any bill that comes from the executive will enjoy an easy ride. In other words, presenting the bill is only a formality.
As far as the Senate is concerned, it’s already law!
Of course, seeing the dribbling to which the DSS is putting the release of Sowore, one cannot but think they are only waiting for the hate speech bill to be passed.
I can’t but remember an Aluta song, ‘How many people soldier go kill?’
Indeed,
Nigeria, we hail thee!
