He’s as simple as they come. To a person knowing him for the first time, he could be just any Tom and Jerry.
His respect could be so disarming that one would be forced to reveal even his innermost secrets to him.
He’s so interested in people that even folks from his village seek his advice in Abeokuta. I also sought his advice on most of my hair-brained projects, which he dutifully advised me against.
One thing that could be said about him is he has seen it all. Maybe that’s why he’s a great mixer.
He had worked in the footwear, baking, and block-making businesses. He should have finished his law program at Olabisi Obasanjo University, Ago Iwoye.
Before enrolling in the law course, he was a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly between 1999 and 2003. He probably represented Ketu/Adiye Owe.
When the government changed, and another party took over, he continued his grassroots politics. But then, things were naturally uneasy.
However, he remained forthright. He remains a bundle of jokes. I know he can never forget the Obey incident. That’s top secret!
When the history of Abe’gi is told, his name will be written in gold. He’s a peacemaker.
He’s always at the receiving end of banter, but Honorable Ogunyomi Gabriel Oluwole, like an Omoluabi, returns to the sender in kind!
