Agbada! – Adewale Sobowale

There’s no way to exactly translate agbada to the English language. I have deliberately chosen not to translate it as a flowing gown.

But most Africans understand what I mean by agbada. For those who do not know, I give you an assignment to look for its meaning.

When we examine our world critically, we’ll see our best bet is to play our roles as if there’ll not be a tomorrow.

While doing that, we should not forget to be courteous to everyone, we should also remember that we’ve brought nothing to this earth and we’ll certainly take nothing when we’re departing the earth.

I encourage people to live life to the fullest, within their means, of course.

Always remember the fact that everyone has been given the agbada of death.

In giving life your best shot, always remember the cemetery is the richest place on earth. It is because that is where our fantastic dreams are buried.

So, live this day as if it would be your last!
