Prime Minister Mark Carney delivered a statement in Ottawa on Sunday about a deadly, fast-moving fire at CFB Wainwright in Alberta. The fire on Saturday killed four service members and wounded dozens more.
According to census data, CFB Wainwright had 1,310 military and civilian personnel stationed there as of 2021. One of Canada’s largest bases, it is about 210 km east of Edmonton in Alberta. National Defence Minister David
