A video clip has been trending on the internet. It’s allegedly of some members of IPOB. I don’t believe anybody needs refresher courses on IPOB or its activities.
Neither does anyone need to be reminded of the army’s launching of Operation Python Dance.
However, I believe it is wrong for Nigerian soldiers to display such level of cruelty of man to his fellows. Those men were made to stay in a marshy stream. Stay? It was more like ‘sleeping’.
A human body, which the person commenting said was a corpse, laid unattended to.
I believe if an otherwise armed person has been disarmed, he should be treated with relative dignity. This is because his alleged crime doesn’t make him less of a human being than any of us.
While I’m not saying the soldiers should leave their work undone, at the same time, we should treat each other as human beings!
