It’s like the initiators of the so-called Yoruba or Oduduwa nation have withdrawn a bit. Maybe they’ve gone back to the drawing table.
Some minutes ago, I went into the archives to read about Onikoyi.
It’s said that the Onikoyi do not receive bullets at the back. Rather, they face the onslaught.
But, if the Yoruba decide to leave Nigeria, will that not be an act of cowardice?
At times, when one realizes they are dealing with superior elements, it’s honorable to make good their escape.
Are we saying the the Northerners are superior to the Southerners?
I don’t think so!
I would rather think we should get our priorities right. We can only do this when we sit together and decide on who gets what as far as Nigeria is concerned.
Have the proponents ever thought of the treason trial in the first republic?
Does it imply the accusations of the prosecutors were true?
I think instead of running away from our ‘equals’, we should seek first a true federal arrangement, not only in letter but in practice!
By the way, have Yoruba people ever existed as a country?
