Whatever a person is doing, let them do it to the best of their ability. That’s why even when some party faithfuls are yet to be remembered for jobs for the boys, some departed souls are remembered and rewarded.
If I can recollect, there was the case of someone who died somewhere in Nigeria and the relatives went on to inter the corpse with a brand new Hummer Jeep. They envisaged that the dead man might need to meet with god. Please note that god is in small letters.
When we look at it, it is even in accordance with the traditional beliefs of most African peoples. That was why, until recently, when people of means died, they were buried with full traditional rites.
When such things happened, it took some time before the general populace was informed. This is because some steps which involved human sacrifice had to be taken. And if anybody got to know, they would be very careful in their movements.
In fact, this is a government of real change. Constitutionally, there is zoning and federal character in our laws. However, no government has ever remembered the dead.
But this government is doing the needful by remembering the dead.
Indeed, they are unforgettable!
