Why is it that the Nigerian government always fails to recognise brilliant ideas when they see them? And people will be complaining of joblessness.
Why will there be no joblessness. Governors, youth groups and even the army of unemployed people
seem to have agreed on one idea but the people at the centre seem to have other ideas.
We all know that some governors were sometime ago involved in ‘deporting’ Nigerians who are not indigenous to their respective states to the deportees’ states of origin.
As if that was not enough, we learnt a few days ago that some northern youth groups have brought forth a very ingenuous idea. The idea is that all southerners living in the north must register with various state agencies for security ‘reasons’.
I am yet to see more brilliant ideas! Even if the present constitution does not allow it, how long will it take for the constitution to be amended. After all a constitution is made for the people and not the other way round.
The ‘thinkers’ of the ideas are certainly living ahead of their time. They must have been thinking of a Nigeria divided into the number of local governments in the present day Nigeria.
These are people with superior knowledge! Think of the jobs that will be created when these schemes are in operation. So many jobs will be created.
When Nigeria is eventually broken into different countries, there will be a market for passports and, of course visas. High Commissions will be built.
And everybody will live happily ever after…….
