Less Than Okayest! – Adewale Sobowale

I understand soldiers are being unpatriotically used to guard herders and their animals to farms in Ogun state. Of course, when they get to the farms, the labors of farmers go to waste because the animals have a field day munching what their owners didn’t work for.

In several cases, farmers are beaten and subjected to other forms of inhumane acts for their refusal to ‘cooperate’ with the rampage. There are even allegations that women are raped.

The situation in other southwestern states of Nigeria are no better.

Isn’t it possible for the the Yoruba not to buy the cows reared by the northerners?

I know for sure that the Hausa/Fulani hardly buy the beef from their cows. Even if they do, it wouldn’t be at the rate the Yoruba and Igbo do buy.

I’m also certain that if there’s hardly any market for their beef, the herders and their sponsors would think twice about driving their animals to the southwest.

However, I can’t really understand the whys and hows of using Nigerian forces paid with tax payers’ money to victimize Nigerians.

Nilu to l’oba, to n’ijoye!

It’s certainly less than okayest!!
