I had an early bath like a person going to resume work in Apapa. Then I put on my
aso oke with the abeti aja cap to match.
I didn’t even bother to have any breakfast. I was damn too sure my Moslem pals would have been awaiting my arrival.
The first person on my list is not a Moslem but he has Moslem friends. On a day like this, a friend’s friend is also a friend. So, I took a taxi to Oke Ata so that we could go visiting his olodun friends.
When I got there, he had been waiting for me. In fact, some celebrators had brought him some food. In spite of the fact that I had not taken any breakfast, I concentrated on the meat. I ate three pieces of roasted meat and stepped down with two cans of uku uku.
Then we proceeded on touring his friends’ houses. In each house we visited, there were so much to eat and drink.
I then left my friend to visit another friend of mine at Ifo. There was a lot of traffic hold up because of the cement factory. However, I kept calling my friend on phone.
When I finally got there, he first ordered for pepper soup that had been made with the ileya meat. When we were done with that, and amidst cerebral discussion aided by beer, he said they should serve us roasted meat.
It was while waiting for the roasted meat that I woke up to check the time.
I had been dreaming. I had two hours to get to work!
Barka d’ Sallah to all!
