Nigeria Immigration Service ends paper-based CERPAC applications…

The Nigeria Immigration Service will be ending all applications for the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card (CERAP).

Nairametrics reports that the service announced the card which allows foreigners to live and work in Nigeria will by August 1, be done online.

From August 1, all CERPAC applications are requested to be done through  cerpac.immigration.gov.ng. Applicants are required to:

1. Visit the portal.

2. Create an account or log in.

3. Fill out the application form.

4. Make payment securely online.

5. Submit the application and book an appointment.

For in-country applications, biometric capture is to be done at the nearest immigration office.

Applicants applying from outside Nigeria must choose a Nigerian embassy lr consulate in their country of residence for biometric capture. If there is none on their country, hey should select the nearest country that hosts a Nigerian mission.

CERPAC is primarily issued to enable expatriates live and take up employment in Nigeria for a period that usually extends beyond a year. It has an option of renewal when it expires
