The IDF began a wave of strikes in southern Lebanon on Sunday morning following the launch of two drones by Hezbollah terrorists towards troops within the security zone, the military announced.
The Jerusalem Post reports that during the Hezbollah attack, IDF soldiers opened fire on the drones and downed one of them.
No IDF injuries were reported.
Ahead of the strikes, IDF Arabic spokesperson Lt.Col. Ella Waweya issued an evacuation order to residents of the southern Lebanese town of Arab Salim on social media.
Residents were urged to stay at least 300 metres away from the building marked on the map Waweya shared.
“Remaining in the area of the building marked in red puts you at risk.”
