What’s all this fretting about in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. I’m referring to the rumpus between the wife of the former governor who happened to have died and the state government.
I’m not apportioning blames to anyone simply because I see the katakata as nothing but medicine after death. The quarrel won’t bring the dead back to life.
But one thing I know is it’s not possible to write the history of Oyo state and omit the name of Ajimobi.
I’m sure Ajimobi wouldn’t be the first former governor to die in Oyo State and Nigeria. Let the state do the needful and move on with governance of the people.
However, I find it interesting that every action in Nigeria is politicised. Fancy, making the death of a former governor controversial!
