I learned some so-called Nigerian youth have given South Africans living in Nigeria a 30-day ultimatum to leave Nigeria.
I don’t believe we’re in the era of an “eye for an eye”. In fact, that system is rather obnoxious and outdated.
While trying to understand where the youth are coming from, I can’t help having a gut feeling that the youth have some “big” men backing them.
The move by a mob in South Africa to eject illegal aliens is worrisome, especially as the government of the country did little to act against it.
However, I don’t believe Nigerians should descend so low.
If there are South Africans who are in Nigeria irregularly, the immigration should be allowed to do their job.
