Seasons, just like barracks
are relatively permanent!
People only pass through them;
where I come from:
A clerk can’t ever
outlive the office;
No matter how long they live
will they be Methuselah?
They can’t outlive life!
We weren’t aware
when we breathed our first;
Nor can we be aware
when we’ll breathe our very last!
Could we live every second
as if it were the last
before we disappear into dust?
While we’re at it
could we leave a legacy
for people to remember us for?
Whether positive or negative
people passing by our graveside
will surely pray or curse us
for the legacies we’ve left!
