NEPA, as it then was, used to be the Nigerian government owned monopoly of electricity power.
The only thing was that it gradually went from the state of supplying epileptic power to not supplying at all. That was when the Nigerian government in its wisdom, decided to privatize power supply.
But then, with the introduction of the Power Holding of Nigeria, there has been little, if any, improvement. Actually, they have succeeded in furthering their hold on power.
But then, withholding electric power may be the least of Nigeria’s problems now, if the present situation in the country should be viewed in its totality.
Nigeria could be said to be going down the drains!
Kidnappers are everywhere.
Boko Haram has chosen to remain.
No public facility is working at the optimal level.
There’s general insecurity in the land.
There are no jobs.
Armed robbers are on the prowl.
There’s great maladministration by those in government.
To cap it all, the so-called educated people have chosen not to speak against repression.
Those that have found the courage are being picked up.
Nigeria is a revolution waiting to happen!!!
