Protesters in various cities in Nigeria were parading the streets in a protest tagged #Endbadgovernance. The protest is scheduled to last ten days. During the protest, several frustrated citizens voiced their anger over increasing hunger and “bad governance.”

The demonstrators turned violent in some parts of the country, including Yobe and Kano states, where the governors promptly declared a 24-hour curfew. Private and public properties were looted in the confusion, which saw many vehicles burned.

Some people, including a police officer, reportedly lost their lives.

However, one leader stood out. He is Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who engaged the demonstrators in an address.  Also, in Plateau state, in a rare show of comradeship, the Christian protesters were sitting on guard while their Muslim counterparts went to say their prayers.
