Authorities in the Philippines are working towards bringing the corpses of three nationals of the country killed after the flooding in the United Arab Emirates.
Rappler reports that the Migrant Workers Office in Dubai and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration met with the three Filipino Workers’ next of kin and explained the procedures.
The DMW, OWWA and the Philippine consulate are assisting Filipinos whose flights were affected by the storm through food packs, essential personal items, and airline flight assistance.
The NWO in Abu Dhabi has also distributed food and relief packs to some 800 OFWs living and working in the Al Touba district in Al Ain, an area badly ravaged by the storm.
