PM Carney shows off soccer skills at World Cup Trophy Tour

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney joined FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Italian football legend Alessandro Nesta during the FIFA World Cup trophy tour event in Ottawa.

DRM Sports reports that Carney entertained the crowd by taking part in football shooting drills with local children and successfully chipped a ball through a target hole during the event.

The ceremony highlighted Canada’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
