A joke used to be the in-thing when I was much younger!
Some Nigerian nationalists went for a pre-independence constitutional conference. Usually, the Europeans would give them lunch breaks.
On one of those days, they went for the lunch break, their hosts decided to give them a seven -course meal. Of course,the meal included fruit salad.
One of the nationalists was not too comfortable with his meal. He felt he was eating uncooked vegetables. But then, since others seemed to be enjoying the meal, he decided to keep up with the Jonesses.
However, when they finished the meal, he asked one of the other delegates in annoyance, ‘Nna, dem cook ya own?’
It’s a question I’ve always wanted to ask the average Nigerian. With each regime failure, as time goes on, and there has been no solution,
