Fela In Toronto! – Adewale Sobowale

He starts with the tuning of the piano. When he’s perfected that, he turns to the trumpeter and demands for some bass to be infused into the music.

It’s like a rehearsal!

Rather than a rehearsal, it’s the master musician’s bid to be honest and give the audience an unforgettable musical experience.

He goes to play some enchanting tunes on the piano.

Then it’s Femi’s solo. The crown Prince shows great class. Then comes the versatile Baba Ani, he shows his experience.

Abami Eda starts yapping the audience. He goes on to sing, ‘Gbe won sita’.

The whole band gives the audience a superlative performance.

While most of the audience were dancing, some were gisting while others were smoking joint.

The dancers too were a great scene to watch. Fela, on his own, has his peculiar dance steps which no one can beat.

Then comes, ‘Suffer dey Africa’!

It’s a great performance!

I’m still watching in the Albion Library!!
