Delhi Police claimed on Monday to have foiled a major security breach attempt at Red Fort.
The Week reports that five Bangladeshi immigrants were arrested for “forcibly trying” to enter the historic monument. ,
The men, aged between 20 and 25, all worked as labourers in the national capital. The police said they had recovered some Bangladeshi documents from them.
A detailed investigation has been launched into the incident which came a few days before India’s Independence Day on August 15.
