Oooboon too

Africa is beieved to be the beginning of man. Indeed, it’s seen as the beginning of man’s civilization. Since the records are there, I do not think it would be wise to let that distract us.

The topic I want to discuss today is why should there be lack when there is plenty? Why should people be suffering, in whatever capacity, when there are ways to give them succour?

I tend to believe the Socialist view about governance is a lie? Only the masses are falling for the trap of
socialism in those countries practising the system of governance.

Should I have typed “falling”?

I think they are being forced would have been better

If we did not know, the Russian-Ukraine conflict has succeeded in exposing the anus of the rooster. The
Russian oligarchs were busy buying choice properties and living it up while the average people were struggling to make both ends meet in Russia.

The other seeming alternative is capitalism. However, capitalism itself, despite its provisions for low
earning people or people who do not earn any dime, has proved to lean towards selfishness

For instance, if you do not have a job in a capitalist society, the system could provide for you a bit of the
time. But then, there will come a time when you might be left to your own devices.

If you happen to be suffering from a health condition at that time, only the Heavens could help you to survive. Even if you are employed and you happen to have a heath challenge, there are some no-go areas for which your health card might not be able to help you, depending on the country.

We all know that the world produces more than enough food for human consumption. So, how come a lot of people are still hungry? The answer is wastage and inequitable distribution of food items. When you look at the health sector, it is a similar story. Anytime there is a major health crisis in the world, while the developed nations have more than enough medications, the developing world will always be
lagging.

I believe our humanity could be helped by the African Welfare System. We just need to dot the “i’s and cross the “t”s.
We also need to do some adaptation to specific circumstances since no two situations may ever be the same.

We have an international drivers’ license which could be used in most countries of the world. Now, why
don’t we apply that method to health, food, and employment?

I believe this could be achievable if we have international insurance companies and brokers that could insure the processes. Asking for insurance companies to do the task is nothing new.

In international business transactions, various parties could put their minds at rest since insurance companies are there for various transactions, even between people who have not met each other from
Adam!

Let us start with health. If people take insurance policies that could be used internationally, I think the
global health situation will be the better for it.

There is no doubting the fact that the advanced nations are ahead of the developing nations in development. Most developing countries do not have solid agricultural preservative systems. Meanwhile, the advanced countries have more than enough.

Unfortunately, what those developed countries that want to “pity” the developing countries do in most cases is to establish outposts for the exportation of raw materials from the developing countries.

Although this may be in the best interest of the developed countries, it renders the working class in the developing world jobless. With job opportunities, the situation could have a ricocheting effect on the
developing economies.

That is one reason why their citizens find traveling to Europe and the Americas
as a way out of perennial poverty.

In Africa, we have a system of involving everybody in community building. Old people are left to take care of the children while the children’s abled bodied parents go look for daily bread. The old people are therefore kept busy teaching the children the values and mores of the society.

There is also this culture of everyone eating from the same pot. Like we know, there is always unity in
sharing.

When one gets a new job in most of Yorubaland, traditionally when he gets his first salary, he gives the
money to his parents for their blessings.

A particular thing that is common with most African societies is that they have a way of cooperating to
help one another. In Yorubaland it is called Aaro. In East Africa, it is called Ubuntu. People group themselves into societies and help each other whenever the need arises.

One person could be intending to do farm work in which they need a lot of labor. Another might want to
do some construction work for which they need manpower. They simply tell the association of their
needs. Oh yes, they normally belong to different associations or societies. The work will be done while the host wil just give those who worked food and drinks.

The most important thing is to reawaken our humaneness. If we can do that, I believe our world would be much better
