Diary of a cow!Adewale Sobowale

Sons of men who are Nigerians are a peculiar lot.

They’re so peculiar that they can’t even organise elections for themselves. They need to call foreign observers.

At the end of the day, hardly are the observers satisfied that the elections are free and fair.

How can they?

Most people are looking for their turn to ransack the commonwealth. They call it waiting for their turn.

As result, every election is a battle, sorry a war!

Even when they invite foreign observers, the lure of power and influence makes them forget to pretend to be good citizens while the observers are still around.

Human behaviour is like smoke…

The observers are actually embarrassed by the behaviour of almost everybody.

“Almost” because there are a few discerning people in the land.

The problem is that Nigeria is not only the largest country in Africa, but it’s also one of the most prosperous. But Nigeria’s prosperity is not felt by the ordinary man.

With a population of 219,949,958, the country can’t afford a civil war. But is the average Nigerian aware of this?

Nigerians need to learn that it’s the people that make the government.

It’s just like a saying in the I.T. world, “garbage in, garbage out!”

That means the people will always determine the quality of the government!
