NEPA used to be Nigeria’s electric supply monopoly before we started having the Power Holding Companies.
I understand Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Mr Joseph Tegbe, said some Nigerians are asking him to slow down the so-called improvements in electric supply because their freezers are over freezing.
If that’s true, even at 18 hours per day, it shows the simplicity of the man in the street
However, I’ve chosen to be a Thomas in not believing him Indeed, I have refused like Naaman, Syria’s war leader, to believe no good thing could come from this River Jordan of a government.
I would more than appreciate it if I’m disappointed. That is, when this lame-duck administration rises up to the challenges of the people.
This administration has kept us wandering in economic, security, health, and other basic needs’ desert for years, completely blind and deaf to our needs and progress.
The commoner is not asking for too much. He’s not asking for any sophisticated items.
Once there’s food on his table, security, education for the children, transportation, accommodation, electricity, and other petty things, he’s not bothered about accountability.
And that’s what this administration has been unable to do, it has failed woefully.
It has totally shown its incapacity to rule a land full of milk and honey.
