The race for the White House, the official residence of the American President, is getting increasingly interesting.

It’s no longer news that the incumbent, Joe Biden, has thrown in the towel. He has endorsed Vice President Ms. Kamala Harris to run for President.

I should think the Democratic Party is the place to be. They pulled the trick with the election of Barrack Obama as President in 2017. Obama holds the record of being the first Black man to be the President of the United States.

According to Biden, choosing Harris as his running mate was “the best decision I’ve made.”

Most leading Democrats are supporting Harris. However, Biden cannot personally appoint a Democratic nominee.

Delegates will vote for a Democratic candidate at the Democratic National Convention, which will be held in Chicago from August 19.

Meanwhile, former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton have endorsed Harris.

In a joint statement, the Clintons said, “We join millions of Americans in thanking President Biden for all he has accomplished, standing up for America time and again, with his North Star always being what’s best for the country. We are honored to join the President in endorsing Vice President Harris and will do whatever we can to support her.”

The couple continued by saying, “We’ve lived through many ups and downs, but nothing has made us more worried for our country than the threat posed by a second Trump term. He has promised to be a dictator on day one, and the recent ruling by his servile Supreme Court will only embolden him to further shred the Constitution. Now is the time to Kamala Harris and fight everything we’ve got to elect her. America’s future depends on it.”

Others who have endorsed Harris are Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Rep. Jim Clyburn, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Sen. Patty Murray, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, and Rep. Pramila Jayapal.

The political arm of the Congressional Black Caucus has supported Harris, as has the head of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Rep. Nanette Barragan of California.

Harris said she plans to “earn and win” the Democratic presidential nominations.

In another twist, the Congressional Republicans have asked President Joe Biden to resign.

House Speaker Mike Johnson said, “If Joe Biden is not fit to run for President, he is not fit to serve as President.”
