Not many people might know he was approached to be President to assuage what they saw as the injustice done to the south west due to the regretful annulment of June 12.
But he was honest enough to know he couldn’t serve as a good party man.
While he and others were at the fortress, the incumbent was busy kowtowing to his junior. He didn’t even mind the travesty of justice being meted out to most Nigerians by the goggled one. He never minded the ordinary man’s suffering either.
He remains a conscience of the nation. Apart from that, everyone is eminently qualified to air their opinions.
I’m not fit to defend him, but I just felt a need to express my distaste for a presidential media aide’s response to highly respected professor Wole Soyinka.
According to the aide, anyone who’s not a doctor couldn’t say anything on COVID 19. While I very much disagree with his rather uninformed opinion, the fact remains that Kongi was emphasizing the constitutionality or not of locking down states by the federal government.
To further expose his blatant innocence, the media aide shows he doesn’t know many great adventures in the sciences were first thought of by philosophers.
