Refuse to be prisoned
By societal ideals
Not necessarily ideal!
Believing more than Christ
At Christmas!
Giving to the poor
Should be everyday!
At turn of new year
Turn I a new leaf
For few minutes
Then resume
My old ways
Which is always!
Society has set date
For Christ’s death
After Easter
One can withdraw
For a year
Committing all crimes!
On Valentine’s
We’ll find
Lost love
Turn to lust
Very next day
Even hate!
No straitjacket for me
No one should tell me
When to appreciate
And when not!
We all living
In falsity
For convention
