Back to the issue of government involving itself in religious affairs.
Kilo dun bi arun iba!
For a government to rule well, it must be an octopus with its tentacles in everything.
If it could be planned well, the governors and president should be made to head all the religious bodies.
We may then have,
Mr governor, the chief imam of x state
Mr president, the archbishop of Nigeria
Mr chairman, the asipa of oro, etc
In fact, I don’t believe there will be anything as progressive as this.
Forget about the state being secular.
Secular ko, cyclist ni!
It’s all being done in favour of the people.
Instead of praying to God and waiting for a while for His answer, the god is here to give you instant answer to your prayers.
If you want a house, he will surely give you. If you want food, just tell him and you’ll be overfed instantly.
The pastors and imams who are giving their excellencies problems will not know what hit them.
All churches and mosques and igbales will be controlled by government. In fact, any pastor, imam or babalorisa who doesn’t belong to the ruling party is a goner!
The pastors, imams and babalorisas will be put on government salary scales.
When elections are around the corner, they will be most useful.
Let’s hail the presido, archbishop!
