So many would have been shocked by yesterday’s message.
It’s not as if I don’t have the capacity and the capability to love. Those I love can bear the testimony.
But it’s as if the society is commercializing everything, even love.
My point is that must I be railroaded into loving for just one day?
Mbanu!
I love every day!
I know some Muslims who would be drinking all year long. However, when it comes to the month of Ramadan, they’ll treat alcoholic drinks like poison.
Some Christians do not fail to attend church. They do, ONCE in a year. That’s on New Year’s Eve when churches hold the traditional crossover service.
While there, in clothes specially made for the occasion, they’ll make new year resolutions which, even they, know will be ‘unresolved’ as soon as they leave the confines of the church.
In the political space of the developing nations, politicians aspiring to some office will lie and cajole the people into voting them into office. They’ll even go into the nooks and crannies of the villages to canvas for votes.
But once they get into office, they won’t be available.
The earlier we started telling the truth, the better it would be for our society.
