I came across an old friend on fb sometime last week. He was actually the operations director in a company where i was the admin/corporate affairs manager.
Then i had an accident. Although my friend is an Asian, his family stood by me. Left to that family, i would have had the best treatment anywhere in the world. It was not as if we did not have our rough times though. I can remember when i had to hire a car for a company errand. My boss was annoyed that i was not wise enough to pay off the cabby when i had to wait endlessly so that i would have been able to save some money.
I love travelling and i travelled a lot in those days: Okitipupa, Minna, Kano, Togo,etc. It is a colour blind friendship! A handshake across the oceans!!
