It happened in Ile Ife.
For those who did not know, either out of ignorance or due to their aloofness, the world started at Ile Ife..
The gods came down from heaven on a rope down to the earth. Obatala was then saddled with the work of moulding human beings. Ajala was given the job of creating the ‘ori’. Ori means fortune.
They were also divided into the various nations we have now. Once they were divided into nations, each nation had to worship Ifa. They brought a fat cow each, and other ingredients.
It was Greece, that went first. Ifa predicted that it would wax strong as a nation.
When it was the UK’s turn, Ifa predicted that it would be the father of many nations.
Then the USA went, Ifa predicted that it would be a very powerful and prosperous nation. Indeed, it would be the standard by which many nations measured themselves.
So they came, Iceland, Norway, Germany, even Ghana. Ifa used Orunmila as the communicator.
Now, when it came to the turn of Nigeria, Orunmila broke into tears!!!
