We should be grateful to Winners’ Chapel under the (sole?) proprietorship of Mr Oyedepo for attempting to win Lagos and Ogun roads from disrepair.
I think he deserves a round of applause.
The winners have put to lie the Yoruba proverb which says, ‘It can’t be so bad for a father that he would commit his fortune into the hands of his dead son’.
Nigeria is the father in this case. I believe our governments should bury their heads in shame. By the way, if these roads happen to have toll gates, will the federal government be morally justified to collect tolls on the roads which they never constructed?
I have some questions to ask.
Were the contracts for the roads ever awarded to some companies? If they were, did any exchange of funds take place between the government(s) and the companies?
If the companies were advanced funds and they failed to start or complete the projects, I think they ought to be brought to book.
Church funds would have been better spent for charity. But as it is, Nigeria is unashamedly begging for charity!
